If you want to send multiple files by email, attaching them one by one is a good way to waste valuable time. If the files are larger than usual, the process may take too long to complete. Using Affixa is an easier and faster way to attach any files to your emails. It will integrate with various applications and Windows itself and you will be able to attach files with one click, using context menu options, an application's email option or a user friendly interface.

The setup wizard lets you opt for a typical or custom installation, which lets you decide what components to install. When it comes to requirements, an email address is all you need.

Affixa will integrate with any application that is capable of sending emails. When it is freshly installed on your computer, a settings window will appear on the screen, where you can select a series of general options and, of course, specify your email address. The software will connect to Gmail, Yahoo or Zimbra accounts, as well as Outlook or other clients which may be installed on your computer.

Once an email address is provided, you will be able to attach any document to a mail message. There are multiple ways of doing this. You can right click a file, go to the "Send to" sub-menu and choose the Mail recipient option. According to your settings, this will either take you directly to a Compose page, in your default browser, where the file will be already attached, ready to be sent.

If an application supports a similar option ("send to mail"), you can use it for the same result. For example, if you are working in a MS Office program or viewing a PDF file, you can use the program's Mail option to attach the loaded document immediately. Affixa will run in the system tray and you can bring up a small interface by double clicking its tray icon. The main area of this interface consists of a list, where you can add one or more files and attach all of them at the same time. You may create different sets of files, under separate tabs, called baskets. The files which are added to one basket will be attached to the same message. The added files can be stored online by clicking a button on the interface. While this feature is active, instead of attaching the files to your message, the software will paste download links for them.

Pros

Affixa can be used without too much effort. Its general options are well organized and it is sufficient to use them only once. The software provides various ways of attaching files to email messages and they are all very easy.

Cons

You need to upgrade to the paid version if you want to associate more addresses with the software. If you need to attach one or more files to your emails, you can do it much faster and easier with Affixa. Instead of browsing for each file, you can attach them immediately, in a single run, with only one click.
